University Area Clean-up & Litter Study for Earth Day on April 17th

Forty years after the first Earth Day, the world is in greater peril than ever. While climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, it also presents the greatest opportunity – an unprecedented opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean energy economy now and for the future.

Earth Day 2010 can be a turning point to advance climate policy, energy efficiency, renewable energy and green jobs. The Community Outreach committee will be participating in a university area clean-up for Earth Day April 17th 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Volunteers are needed.  If you are interested in participating,  please register at http://update2010.org/worksites/?id=78.

Please note you will need to create an account and select the "University area clean up and litter study" (they are listed alphabetically). It does not matter which group of 40 you register with. Please also specify WiNUP as the non-profit organization during registration and be sure to mark your calendar.
