Welcome New Members!

The Ohio Chapter officially welcomed 105 new members into the organization at the New Member Breakfast on March 26. 

Ohio Chapter chair, Janet Phan spoke to the new members about the growing organization and opportunities to become involved. With chapter membership totaling 207, the number of new members now makes up more than half of the total  membership. So where have all these wonderful ladies been hiding in the years past?

The 2009 initiative to recruit members beyond AEP has been a success. We now have members representing six companies; NiSource, AEP (American Electric Power), EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute), APEX, First Energy and Wells Fargo Advisors. Over 70 of the new members this year are NiSource employees. NiSource recognizes the value of WiNUP and promotes it to women in all job levels. Both NiSource and AEP support the organization by sponsoring membership dues.
