Women's Wish List Drive A Success

WiNUP’s Clothing Drive Committee held its first spring “Women’s Wish List Drive” the week of May 17 – 21. By expanding our clothing drive to collect household and cleaning items in addition to clothing and accessories, we were able to benefit more agencies in our community that provide services to women. We collected over 3,400 items for our partnering agencies, Dress for Success, Rachel’s House, and Choices.

Dress for Success helps women enter or re-enter the professional workplace, Rachel’s House assists women released from prison re-enter and become contributing members of their community, while aids women in domestic violence situations.

WiNUP donation sites included various AEP locations and NiSource, collecting items such as professional womens’s clothing, purses, shoes, accessories, jewelry, makeup samples, career center supplies, healthy and beauty necessities, cleaning supplies, and kitchen and household items.
